footage staggers

Postby snpham » Tue Jul 06, 2010 2:35 pm

Hello,

I'm finding that when I'm playing footage that I've imported as a quicktime file that footage staggers and doesn't play smoothly. It just started doing this too. Within the same sequence, p2 and tape footage work fine, but the quicktime stuff is staggering and jumping. Any idea why it's doing this now; it hadn't before at least not as badly as noticeable as it is now.

thanks

Does the playback stagger in sequence in the source window? If it's OK in the source but staggers in the sequence, what are the master clip frame size vs. sequence frame size? Will the masterclip play ok in a brand new sequence all by itself?

The clips stagger in the source window as well as in the sequence. Makes it nearly impossible to edit. Any ideas what the problem may be if it's happening in source window as well? It wasn't doing this a few weeks ago when I was working on the project.

It is most unfortunate that you chose not to answer every question of mine. They are not accidental.
Suggestions:
1. re-import the clip
2. check the storage performance
3. check if the raster of the clip is the same as hardware
4. trash MC settings.
